Digestive Lassi

This smoothie is not only delicious but also very healthy and therapeutic. In Ayurveda, it is traditionally used to help digest and assimilate a big meal, but it can be used a few times daily to cool the Pitta constitution and calm inflammation. The probiotic from yogurt helps to balance a healthy microbiome and support the immune system. 

Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves

  • 1/4 tsp cumin powder

  • 1/4 tsp pink Himalayan salt

  • 1/4 cup of yogurt (dairy or alternative)

  • 1 cup of water

Method:

  • Add all ingredients to the high-speed blender.

  • Blend until cilantro is well blended and combined with yogurt and water. 

  • Pour into a glass and drink immediately.
